Jul 28, 2014 ¡ In 1973, Led Zeppelin topped the charts again with Houses Of The Holy, which features legendary tracks such as "The Song Remains The Same" and "No Quarter" while also showcasing the continuing evolution of the bandâs signature sound with the reggae-tinged "Dâyer Makâer" and the funk jam "The Crunge."
When Houses Of The Holy came out in 1975, Zeppelin was concerned it wouldn't do as well as their HUGE fourth album Zoso. They were wrong. This record was all over the radio with Dyermaker. My fav track is Song Remains The Same but the album is uniformly excellent. It features what I feel is the best bass work John Paul Jones has done for Zeppelin.
Mar 28, 2023 ¡ Led Zeppelin were at such a peak while recording Houses of the Holy that they couldnât save space for all the amazing material. Even the albumâs title song had to be left on the cutting room floor, later resurfacing along with âThe Roverâ and âBlack Country Womanâ on the bandâs follow-up, 1975âs Physical Graffiti .
